Are you hiding your talent as a writer?

Do you have a special piece of writing saved on your computer?

Have you written something in class that deserves a wider audience?

It’s time to share it with the judges of the 2020 QLF Secondary School Writing Prize, sponsored by Deakin University!

  • Open to Victorian Secondary School students.
  • For a piece of writing of any kind (story, essay, poem, song lyrics) and up to 1000 words

Instructions

  • Email your entry, as a Word doc or pdf attachment, to qlfwritingprize@gmail.com by 30th April 2020.
  • Include your name, address and the name of your school on the first page of your piece of writing.

Prizes

The top 10 students will be treated to a writing workshop with Jodi McAlister, author of the popular YA Valentine series (Valentine, Ironheart and Misrule). The workshop will take place from 9.30–11.30am on Saturday, 23 May at Queenscliff Neighbourhood House.
