David McCooey

DAVID MCCOOEY

David McCooey is a poet, critic, and editor. His poetry collections have won or been shortlisted for six major literary awards, including the Mary Gilmore Award. His latest book of poems is Star Struck (2016). McCooey is the deputy general editor of the prize-winning Macquarie PEN Anthology of Australian Literature. His study of modern Australian autobiography, Artful Histories, won a NSW Premier’s Literary Award. He is a professor of writing and literature at Deakin University in Geelong.
