A Very Special Event Peter Carey in Queenscliff

Peter Carey

 in conversation with Brian Matthews

@ Salt Contemporary Art Queenscliff

Sunday November 19th 5-6pm

(limited numbers)

On the back of his sell-out Opening Night Keynote Address at the  Word for Word Festival  Geelong, Friday 17th of November, Peter Carey the two-time Booker Prize winner, is coming to Queenscliff.

Peter will discuss his latest novel, a thrillingly high-speed story set in the era of Holden versus Ford, six o’clock closing and at the height of the White Australia policy, with local author Brian Matthews.

A Long Way from Home is told in the unforgettable voices of the fast driving Irene Bobs, and the romantic and confused school teacher WillIe Bachhuber. Often funny, and deeply moving, A Long Way from Home takes you on a journey that traverses the complex personal and racial politics of our country’s history.

Proudly presented by
